I like to refer to Wednesday’s as my gauntlet days. I’m in an out of meetings, desperately wishing that the projects on my desk would go away and I’m confined to a little room only to hear about the top 10 reasons why what we’re doing as managers falls short. After these heartening pep talks and a day that drags on until way past dinnertime I need a little pick-me-up.

Enter hilarious tv show Modern Family on Wednesday nights that features three generations of a family, each so vastly unique and funny that I roll on the floor laughing. Well, not literally, because I can’t eat my frozen yogurt with 1000 calories worth of toppings where the dogs can get me. {I can’t believe my healthy desert choice isn’t making my waistline smaller!!!…as I told my doctor when I got on the scale, “I DEMAND A RECOUNT!}.

Modern Family is shot in a mock-u-mentary style, similar to The Office, and When Harry Met Sally. What makes this show so hysterical is that each vignette of these three families is so relatable that you can’t help but be laugh and wince at the same time. You have the head patriarch that is married to the much younger Latina woman who also happens to have a young, chubby son who’s daydream’s rival the dramatics of a Danielle Steele novel. The two other families in the show feature his daughter who is married and has three children and his son who is in a committed partnership with the man who has otherwise stolen my heart…or Cameron as he is referred to in the show. You all know how much I heart gay men. So while I snuggle up with Mrs. Easy Peasy (Kindle) and try to decompress from my week this is what I do when when I’m not on Twitter.
