There is a fabulous fun contest for Sherillyn Kenyon’s upcoming Dark Hunter book, No Mercy (it’s Dev’s story). Contest starts NOW and ends JULY 1st!

My Kenyon, Read It, Love It contest where fans can shoot a video of themselves talking about why they love the Dark-Hunter series and reading their favorite passage.

Getting Over Hump Day + My Addiction to TV Show Modern Family

I like to refer to Wednesday’s as my gauntlet days. I’m in an out of meetings, desperately wishing that the projects on my desk would go away and I’m confined to a little room only to hear about the top 10 reasons why what we’re doing as managers falls short. After these heartening pep talks and a day that drags on until way past dinnertime I need a little pick-me-up.

Enter hilarious tv show Modern Family on Wednesday nights that features three generations of a family, each so vastly unique and funny that I roll on the floor laughing. Well, not literally, because I can’t eat my frozen yogurt with 1000 calories worth of toppings where the dogs can get me. {I can’t believe my healthy desert choice isn’t making my waistline smaller!!!…as I told my doctor when I got on the scale, “I DEMAND A RECOUNT!}.

Modern Family is shot in a mock-u-mentary style, similar to The Office, and When Harry Met Sally. What makes this show so hysterical is that each vignette of these three families is so relatable that you can’t help but be laugh and wince at the same time. You have the head patriarch that is married to the much younger Latina woman who also happens to have a young, chubby son who’s daydream’s rival the dramatics of a Danielle Steele novel. The two other families in the show feature his daughter who is married and has three children and his son who is in a committed partnership with the man who has otherwise stolen my heart…or Cameron as he is referred to in the show. You all know how much I heart gay men. So while I snuggle up with Mrs. Easy Peasy (Kindle) and try to decompress from my week this is what I do when when I’m not on Twitter.

Psst I have a major guy crush on Cam, my dream guy (yes my dream guy is gay).

Now, I can’t take any credit for this statement, but I about fell off my chair laughing when my finance asked me if I was reading any TUMS. I stared at him with a blank look of confusion and asked why the hell would I read about Tums? (Flashes of chalk-like, peppermint nastiness whizzing through my head). He then states with a stage-like whisper and a wiggle of his eyebrows, you know, TUMS. (Another whisper),… spell it backwards. This of course caused me to snort/laugh and continue into loud hysterics. Mr. T had obviously raided my nightstand, yet again, for “bathroom material” and was quoting my latest read. I’ve never see his eyes go so big as when he learned that yes, women can read about sex and not have it be in a romantic way.

Happy 4th of July!!! My favorite holiday where I get to blow things up *giggle.

Quickie-Trying on a New Author for Size

Well, Alyssa Day is by no means a ‘new’ author but she is one that I have not read before. I’m not sure if she is as good as Gena Showalter in her Atlantis series but my cache of reading material has been a bit light and I’ve started to have the shakes from reading withdrawals. I am hoping that I won’t be disappointed as there is nothing worse than investing your hard earned money in a dud. Updates regarding this author to follow…
