Thank you so much for having me here today.  I’m really excited about visiting your blog and touching base with the reading community.  I don’t get to do that often enough, what with writing and all.  Here are some facts you may or may not know about me.

10 Things About Me

1. I’m allergic to chocolate (I’m not kidding)

2. I think fleece is the greatest fabric ever invented.

3. I’m obsessed with HGTV, English china, the Beatles, and cemetery art.

4. If I weren’t a writer I would be a lawyer.  I specialized in international and maritime law in college.

5. By the time I was nine, I’d read every book in the children’s and young adult sections of my library, so I moved on to the adult area.  That’s when I discovered VC Andrews, Stephen King, John Saul, and Mary Higgins Clark.

6.I always wear black nail polish.

7. My first book was written at the age of six.  It was a paranormal romance featuring a witch.

8. You couldn’t pay me to wear yellow.  I look awful in it.

9. My nickname when I was little was CC, for Chubby Cheeks.

10. I don’t know how to ride a bike.

Giveaway Open to US and Canada residents only ( if you know a friend who would be willing to accept the book on your behalf and send it to you) – Ends September 20th!

  1. Interesting, I think I wrote my first story around that age too, I thought it was so long…I recently found it, and it was like two sentences about a rock and a cat. Lol

  2. I love Cynthia’s books and dont have this one yet. So please enter me. Thanks for this post awesome ideal. I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the Deadly series!
You ladies have a good day!

  3. Awwww allergic to chocolate?? That’s so sad!! Great 10 facts though – thanks!!

  4. I don’t know how to ride a bike, either! And, since I work with a 9-year old boy, please imagine him trying to teach me the mechanics of balance, pedaling, and brakes several years ago, the summer he just picked up his bike and knew how to ride in a matter of hours. *facepalm*

Thanks smokinhot and Erin for the great 10 Things…!

I’d like to be entered in the giveaway.

  5. I remember reading through all the fiction in my elementary school library so I moved to the non-fiction just to have something to read. Luckly, before I ran out of stuff to read, I moved on to middle school and a public library was built closer to where we lived.

  6. Hi Erin,
Great list of 10 things – although that first item sucks :( I’ve read and enjoyed your contemporary books and am looking forward to reading your story in this book.

Fun post, thanks Erin and K.C.!

  7. Aw Erin #1 sucks! No one should be allergic to chocolate. Totally agree with you on #2. I’m with you on #8, can’t wear yellow either.

Looking forward to reading this book!

  8. I dont think I have ever met anyone allergic to chocolate… bummer!!

    Great list otherwise…

    Hi Erin,
I loved your 10 Things About Me – I didn’t know you could be allergic to chocolate, that’s a tragedy. And wow, and I thought I read a lot when I was a kid.

I’m looking forward picking up The Beast Within and reading The Howling.

  10. wow, I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t eat chocolate…on the other hand, if I couldn’t eat chocolate I would probably be thinner :)

  11. I am so obsessed with HGTV it’s not even funny. I watch Property Virgins, HouseHunters & HouseHunter’s international all the time.

  12. Great 10 things list. No bike riding? Sorry. No chocolate? Even sorrier. No yellow. Well not many can pull off that color. As for fleece, well I love the winter time with my Snuggie and a book!

I think I am with Patti on this. I have also read your contemporary books and would love to read this one.

  13. I’m an HGTV junkie too. Hate to hear you can’t have chocolate! That’s all kinds of wrong for an allergy! Loved the fun facts and thanks for the giveaway! The Beast looks awesome!

  14. Thanks for the chance! And I am sincerely sorry for the chocolate allergy.

  15. *hugs* for the chocolate thing. :( Oh, and I’m so with you on the yellow. :P

    Great giveaway!

  16. Fleece, the fabric of the gods. Oh yes. :)

  17. I can’t imagine what my life would be like when I was allergic to chocolate! Gosh, the horror!
Can somebody reveal what HGTV is? *mutter* Probably some American thingy, like this giveaway *mutter* ;)

  18. Nooo.Allergic to chocolate, that sucks ;) totally agree fleece is the greatest :)

  19. Jolene Allcock

I like the CC, that’s kind of a cute nickname as long as they didn’t call you that in front of groups of other people. But knowing family, they probably did. Allergic to chocolate, that’s a bad one :) or good depending on how you look at it. I’m not a chocolate fan, but I may die if I couldn’t have the few m and m’s I sometimes have. I do break out in an allergy induced rash anytime I indulge in a beer or glass of wine or my fav. fruit drinks at the bar. My husband and friends think it’s funny when I get stared at and have to constantly tell anyone who looks at me not to worry as it spreads across my face. Blah to allergies :)
    Thanks for the interview :)

  20. My family called me thunder thighs, so I think I would prefer chubby cheeks any day of the week!

  21. Janna, sorry, HGTV stands for Home and Garden TV… it’s a channel that features all kinds of home decorating and house buying shows. There are some jawdropping makeovers on it. :)

As for the chocolate, thanks for all the sympathy, but truthfully I don’t mind. You can’t miss when you don’t remember having, and I actually don’t even like the smell of it. It smells… thick to me. lol. The only time I mind is when you go somewhere and every dessert is chocolate. Cuz I do love dessert. :-D

    Fleece rocks!

Minn, Thunder Thighs is a horrible nickname. I suddenly feel guilty for not liking mine. lol.

Jolene, allergies do suck… no wine or beer is a rough one!

Thanks for letting me hang out! :)

  22. Awwe! You’re allergic to chocolate?! I think I’d kill someone if that was me. Once a month, I swear I must be worse than a werewolf.

But how do we get this giveaway? And why on earth is it only open to Americans and Canadians?! That’s hardly fair, I mean don’t you want international readers as well? How do you expect us to read your books if you make them so hard to come by? Your name was completely new to me, and I work and live at a library…

  27. A collection of random tidbits is always fun to read and learn about someone.

When I was little, I wrote a series of short stories about a school of fish. Literally – fish children and dealing with issues like staying home sick or not being picked for 4 Square. (How they played that, I have no idea!)

Now if only I saved those somewhere… I hope you still have your witch’s romance story safely tucked away – It’d be a fun thing to share (or turn into a children’s book!) :)
