Oh. Em. Gee! New Paranormal Romances I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On

in New Releases 37 Comments

Last night as I was googling Sprinkles Cupcakes and seriously contemplating making an hour drive to Beverly Hills. Instead  I found myself pre-ordering Darkest Lie (Lords of Underworld #6) by Gena Showalter and cruising on Amazon. Kind of like what I used to do when I was 15 and bored out of my mind. Small town = you go cruisin’.  When I spotted these beauties coming to my Kindle soon…

Last Dragon Standing by G.A. Aiken

#4 in Dragon Kin Series

Release Date September 7th 2010

Pre-Order on Amazon

This is Keita’s story, she is the younger sister mentioned in the previous dragon books.

I know what they see when they look at me. The charming, soft-spoken dragoness bred from the most powerful of royal bloodlines. A disguise stronger than any battle shield that allows me to keep all suitors at tail’s length. A technique that’s worked until him. Until Ragnar the Cunning, handsome barbarian warlord and warrior mage from the desolate Northlands. Unlike those who’ve come before him, he does not simply submit to my astounding charm and devastating smile. Instead, he dismisses me as vapid, useless and, to my great annoyance, rather stupid!

Yet I’ll allow no male to dismiss me. Soon he’ll learn my worth, my many skills, and the strength of my will. For this one challenges me enough to make me want to ruthlessly taunt him, tease him and, finally, when the trap is set, bring him to his knees.

No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Dark Hunter Series (Dev’s Story)

Release Date September 7th 2010

Pre-Order on Amazon

Raise your hand if you remember who Dev is…anyone? He is one of the Peltier bears.  There is this fun contest I mentioned here running until July 1st to win a really cool prize!

Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.

Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.

The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.

Drink of Me by Jacquelyn Frank

Release Date October 24, 2010

Pre-Order Amazon

There is no book description yet so this is where I come in with something witty and funny (cue crickets sound). I don’t know what this one is about, and frankly I don’t care. All I  know is that I want it.

Found it! Thanks to Amber.

In a world where emotion can be a deadly weapon, one slight, battered runaway holds the key to a dark and twisted enigma…

Drink of me, she whispers, her silver eyes trusting, pleading. What female dares speak such words to one of the Sánge? His people are scorned by every race for their fierce sensuality, their fearful rituals. And as Prime, Reule is the most telepathically gifted of them all.But nothing has prepared him for the intensity of emotion radiating from the outlander rescued by his Pack. Terrified, tormented, but beautiful beyond measure, Mystique shatters his legendary control. As she reaches for him in the steamy heat of the healing baths, he knows this blind need can have but one end…

What book would you like to call your precious?

    dear K.C.,
the jay is not allowed to buy any more books now or in the not so distant future, kindly cease & desist with your seductive book pimping.

  19. There is an except for the Jacquelyn Frank book in the back of Stealing Katherine. I don’t know what’s it about either from the expert, but I’m going to read it. I think it’s a new series because it doesn’t sound like the Gatherers, her latest series.

  20. ::cries:: I still have not made it to GA AIKEN goddammit!!!!!!!

  26. @Cecile *waves* Hi

@Rossy Amazon and Goodreads and bad for my credit card. My pre-order list seems to grow…daily.

KC I gots all excited when I saw G.A. Aiken, then I saw the release date and pouted all this afternoon. Why can’t these be out now!! (stomps feet around). Another tearjerker is that the internet man won’t be coming until July 4th! Noooooooooo! Moving is the pits.

  29. I was disappointed in the last Kenyon book I read (Bad Moon Rising) but I know I’m going to buy Dev’s book anyway. He’s my favorite Peltier. I just want to give him a squeeze.

I haven’t read the other three authors yet…although I think I have a Lora Leigh on the TBR somewhere.

  30. P.S. Kensington has a blurb for Drink of Me on their website ;)

  31. @Amber I’m with you, Bad Moon Rising felt like one big flash back. Not my favorite writing style.

I’ll head over to Kensington and check it out! Thanks

@Mrs. K I told you, internet/cable BEFORE you move in! Thank god your Kindle is wireless.

  32. How many Dark Hunter novels are there now? This newest one makes me like, 4 or 5 books behind now. I don’t even remember Dev-was he at least mentioned in Bad Moon Rising? I can’t wait for The Darkest Lie (I’m almost caught up with that series) and I’m I don’t know why, but I’m drawing a blank on new releases coming out that are paranormal.

  33. I still need to read Bad Moon Rising!!

    And Aiken

    And JP Barnaby.

    And Sean Kennedy.

    I’ll run away now…

  34. @Mandi I’m using my Jedi mind tricks so you’ll bump up JP Barnaby on your reading list. Is it working?

  35. I’ve got G.A. Aiken on the shelves with this series. Of course No Mercy is going to be ordered at Rhapsody (have the DH series bookclub edition) I’ve got these two I’m counting the days of for too: August: Kresley Cole – Demon From The Dark / August: J.K.
