Thirty females of the Ophidian race have gone missing. Believed to be dead by every Archon in the states, Merrick leads a quiet and unassuming life, saving those of his race that are lost and need it most. It’s a solitary existence, one that he hates every day. He yearns for his mate, the woman he left over a decade before, and the woman who thinks him dead to this day. When Elise Rizdon gets the official invitation to the Archon meeting in Ohio, she never expected to see the love of her life at the woman’s side, a man she was told was dead and buried. She lost him once upon a time, and she never fully recovered. A disturbing event is on the horizon, one that threatens all Ophidian’s and their way of life. In order to survive they will have to work together, give up old grudges and take chances on the things that matter most. Love, life and the continuation of their race. Review and Weresnake Chant
I’ve got the weresnake guru here today, Stella Price author of Entwined by Fate. She is also giving away one lucky SOB a Ebook of Entwined by Fate. This is your chance people to get away from your demons & werewolves and read about some sexy weres that’ll make you hiss in a good way.
Hi Stella how did the idea for this series originate, it’s not everyday you read about shape shifting snakes? All the weresnakes started with Audra and I giving the finger to the idea of werewolves. We aren’t fans of them, never have been, and felt there was something better we could write, something that wouldn’t be as violent, but sexy. Weresnakes were the thing that we decided would be different enough to give us an edge, and make us unique. We are big snake lovers, so it was only natural.
K.C. I make a wide birth for snakes in Petco.
You co-write with your sister, do one of you tend to take the lead in writing this story? What’s your process? Recently It has been me taking the lead on the books because of all the upheaval in her life (shes pregnant and going to be a first time mom) but normally its about 50/50 on the writing side. On the promo side, its 100% me because she’s 5 hours behind.
Are we going to see other books in this series? (Cough cough, hint hint). LOL, yes. You will see Homer and Evelyn’s book, as well as Aiden and Myra, and even Kira’s book, though that’s going to be a surprise, and even Beryl and Wink (briefly mentioned in Entwined by Fate), and one more, but I’m keeping that one secret.
Secrets Secrets are no fun, secrets should be shared with everyone. Sorry couldn’t resist an opportunity to chant an ole’ play ground song. I loved Aiden and sexy Homer. Can’t wait.
Do you have a favorite character? If so why? From this series? Aiden. He’s so beautifully screwed up and his ophidaphiobia is priceless. He’s such a strange guy, I cant wait to see how he ends up.
Aiden totally stole the show for me, I love the ophidaphiobia angle. P.S. I had to Google this word before I read this book.
Finally, in the spirit of Bernard Pivot and in honoring the great James Lipton, we force our guests to answer the following questions:
What is your favorite word? Snicklefits. I have yet to figure a way to get it in a book.
What is your least favorite word? Cunt. Yes I know, it’s a nasty word, but not over where Aud is, so that’s why I don’t like it, I cant use it in polite company in the states, but when I was in Scotland I almost decked a friend of my sisters for saying it. I hate that it has two damn meanings! I mean talk about working on impulse.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Someone that knows how to talk dirty and that can own it. I mean As a Gemini, I get bored easily with a lot and the more creative a guy is, both in fiction and in real life, keeps my interest. If they are the bad guy? BONUS!
What turns you off? OMG I hate big thick meathook kinda hands! They are gross! You will notice all our men will have artists hands, long tapered fingers. If they look like monkey paws they are staying the hell away from me and my characters!
What is your favorite curse word? Ooh I love asshat. Great word and it has so many uses throughout the day.
What sound or noise do you love? Actually, and I know it sounds weird, but I like the sound of bullfrogs in the summer… its haunting.
What sound or noise do you hate? My father in law snoring. Good lord it sounds like the world is ending.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Well in my life I have been a barrista, bartender, model, tour manager, singer (I was in a girl group, yeah I know!), ice cream designer, design consultant for a framing firm for hotels and a retail slave… I think I would wanna work with animals, maybe in a zoo.
What profession would you not like to do? Ugh I would never wanna be an air traffic controller.. talk about stress.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?::BLINK:: really? Um… probably “Oh that’s the chick that likes tentacles! Send her right to hell!”
Thanks Stella for stopping by and giving away a free ebook!!!!

Hi

Thank you for the fun & informative interview with Stella Price. I enjoyed learning more about her & her sister & their writing process. Excellent questions & I laughed at the James Lipton questions.
Snicklefits.
Love it!
All the best,
RKCharron
Awesome interview w’ great questions! Must say again, I LOVE LOVE the concept of weresnakes! If I had to pick a new were-creature, that would have been it. Hmmm…second choice: Domestic cats! They are pound for pound the most efficient carnivore on the planet. That is a true fact, I am not making it up. Cats are very fascinating creatures.
Anyway, I’m enjoying Stella and Audra’s novel: Sugar and Sin so far, so I’m dying to win Entwined by Fate!

+1, If I haven’t google-friended you, I will now.
You guys had me at “Aiden. He’s so beautifully screwed up and his ophidaphiobia is priceless.”
He sounds like my kind of hero, I kinda like them screwed up
Hey guys!
Leontine: Aiden is really an interesting character, I cant wait to get his story out to everyone. I like them screwed up too!
Thanks Ann, your a goddess and domestic cats would be interesting. Did you ever see CATS or read T.S.Elliot’s old possums book of practical cats? You would like it.
RK: Snicklefits is the best word eva LOL>
That was a Snicklefits-tastic interview!! Although snakes make me eeky, im so intrigued to read this book and series, since it’s so original, ( and ditto what leontine said about aidan!) im old school and adore werewolves, but after snakes you can really go anywhere with were’s…maybe not ladybugs or cockroaches LOL i think reading about were monkeys would be kinda a hoot! im sure the sisters price could make them smexen too =)
OOH thanks Bear! LOL we do have some other shifters waiting in the wings, mimics, a bird shifter and we have Kitsune (fox shifters that are in service to the Inari Kama, or high god of the asian lands) I think you will like the Kitsune, the mimics and our bird shifter.. Ooh and we have a waterhorse as well…
Great interview! My choice for a wereanimal would be an owl- I think owls are pretty rad, there’s all different kinds, and hey, it would be interesting to watch everyone have to get past the whole owl pellet thing.

A new shifter…. hummm… how about slime mold? Too yucky?
Butterfly? Too foo foo? Biting Venomous Butterfly shifters that hypnotize you with their wings? Yeah!

Interesting Miranda!
I think small animals, like butterflies, would be hard to use as a shifter… because of size proportion. But its a pretty good idea!
S
@RKCharron I have a bit of a crush on James Lipton.
@Annarkie Cats would be interesting!
@Leontine I just know you’d like Aiden.
@Sparklybearsy I love it “old school about werewolves”!!!
@Emily an owl would be cool, awesome answer!!
@Miranda Butterfly? I think that could work I’ve read about were-bats so butterfly could totally be done.
Hi K.C. and Stella! I am letting ya’ll lure me to the dark side of romance…
Um shapeshifter I might want to see…a bat! LOL! And it should be a vampire that can shift like Grandpa on the Munsters…or was that the Adams family. I can’t remember…I know I saw it on TV somewhere, but not romance yet.

Okay, your heaven response make me choke on my coffee. HA! Twittered (twitted? how do you conjugate the verb “tweet”? lol) the contest.
Jackie: Its exactly what would happen. Otherwise I would be a deviant in heaven LOL.
Queen B: Homer and Evelyn’s story is coming along nicely, and youll get to meet some other snakes in that one as well
Minx: So glad you stopped over to play! Asshat is beyond the best eva…
Danielle: Bat shifter? Interesting… Leathery wings… OOh that could be naughty!
I’m looking forward to reading this. I have it in my to buy TBR piles. I’m all about the shifter love! lol I can’t wait to see how were snakes shift and mate.
@Ferishia my fellow smut sister, this isn’t as erotic as some of the PNR bookies that you read but I liked the weresnake aspect. This one also doesn’t have butter *wink wink*
@Jackie U I always pictured God like my principal Ms Shiroishi, she was quite intimidating.
The idea of were-anything, even a snake, is enticing – can’t wait to read some of these books!
What a cool interview! I laughed out loud to myself, and now my kids think I’m insane. I cannot tell them WHY I was laughing. *snicker* asshat. *snicker ophidaphiobia.
Let’s see, how about a possum shifter? Creepy, huh?
I tweeted before I even knew I was suppose to, and I’m following!
@Madison Woods Stella is the only author I know that can write “nest” and not have me run screaming in the other direction
@Brenda Hubs doesn’t even blink at me anymore when I burst into spontaneous LOLs. I can’t help it if you’ll are too funny.
