Breaking News – Karen Marie Moning Shadowfever Release Date

We have official confirmation, repeat we have official confirmation. I was hitting my local blogs this morning drinking my overly expensive Trader Joe’s Kona Coffee, when I saw on Monkey Bear Reviews some exciting book news. Karen Marie Moning has announced the official release date for January 18th 2011. Mark your calendar people!!!
In KMM’s Own Words:
Okay, I finally have confirmation, sorry it took so long, but there was a lot of moving around going on. The first info that showed up online saying it would be released in August was completely wrong. August was never a possibility.
The official release date is December 7, 2010 January 18th 2011. The sad news is–that’s longer than I’d hoped for. The good news is that the book is much longer and we’ve got a ton of fabulous stuff planned between now and then for you all! The other good news is that the time between Christmas and New Years can be a little slow, which makes it a perfect time for reading!
This shouldn’t change but if it does, I’ll tell you as soon as I know. Usually the reason a publisher changes a release date is to avoid complications in placement in stores and on lists. Some dates, there are so many other new books coming out that the pubs can’t get the in-store placement or discounts for the book they need, so they re-arrange things (which often results in a massive shuffle, like what happened this past fall when Dan Brown’s release date was announced suddenly.)
Sorry it’s so far off! I can’t wait till it’s released either!

I subscribe to KMM’s forum and got the email this morning! I was excited about finally getting a release date. But I was disappointed that it’s nearly a year away! Why! Oh, why must they torture us for so long!?!
I am crying my eyeballs out; December 28th
That long!! I have patience issues, can’t the publisher take that into account too? No? Why not?? Iz important ya know…really! 
Okay, shaking of dissapointment over the long wait and trying to focus on this tidbit of good news: the book is much longer 
YAY 550 pages would do it for me

Glad to finally have a date but disappointed it’s so far away. That book better be HUGE with lots of Barrons time!

@VFG Oh thank god. At least you “have the books” otherwise I’d have to stone you or something. I kid *whisper* not really. Caution you might want to hold off reading these until closer to December so you won’t have to wait, in agony, like the rest of us.
