Can passions, love and desire exist for all three?

Caleb laughs, letting his head lull against the back of the couch as the alcohol hits his system and fuzzes the world around him. Everything is moving faster than he can process, and when he turns his head back to Chris, Scott has claimed his place in Chris’s lap.

Chris pushes his hand under Scott’s shirt and claws at his back as Scott attacks his mouth. Scott whines just a little when Chris pushes him away so he can pull Scott’s T-shirt over his head, and as soon as it’s out of the way, he presses close again, mouthing down Chris’s neck.

Caleb freezes, He should leave. If he’s going to leave, he really needs to leave now -except Scott doesn’t tell him to leave. Instead, Scott holds his gaze as he strips Chris of his shirt.

Caleb tried to get up, even though he has no idea where he’s going to hide. He can’t drive, and he’d really rather not spend the night in the bathroom. It doesn’t matter anyway, because Chris catches his wrist and holds on; then he turns back to face Scott so their eyes meet. Scott nods and the grip on his hand tightens as Chris fumbles with the button of Scott’s jeans.

Strongest Shape was a sexual symphony of magnetic proportions. Some might feel that this book focused a bit too much on the sexual aspects of their relationship and for that I say, “ your problem with this is…?”.  The sex in this book is primal and intense, a virtual foray into the most exotic of relationships. A trifecta of three beautiful men, loving each other and navigating the invisible boundaries of other’s expectations of what a ‘normal’ relationship entails.

Although this book is steeped in delicious, man-love frolicking, it did bring a sense of realism of how an actual three-way relationship would work.  What obstacles would Caleb, Chris and Scott face? Would their families disown them, would one person have to pick someone over someone else? Can love truly exist between three people?

What I found a bit disarming about this book was that the story is mainly told from Caleb’s point of view. He is both the voyeur and unexpected companion in this new relationship. Sometimes I struggled with the cadence of the writing but the author really delivers a heart-felt story that begins as a sexual adventure but turns into something more than Caleb, Scott or Chris could have anticipated. Again, I have Mandi aka Smexybooks to thank for this delicious recommendation, and thank her whole-heartedly for introducing me to what has become one of my favorite new erotic genres!

I for one am pouting up a storm.  Mr. Smokin refused to play the businessman on vacation and I the naughty housewife who call’s him from another room in an attempt to reenact the scrumptious phone sex scene when Caleb is on a photo shoot in New York. Where’s the imagination I say!!  I had to be sat down and reminded that not every single scene that tickles my fancy is meant to be fair game for the boudoir. Maybe he needs to be at the office for this to really take effect? Oops, just got a text from Mr. SH, apparently it is not ok to make naughty talk over his work line. My bad. How was I to know that they tape all employee’s phone calls?? Better go put my bad girl outfit on to receive my punishment.
